School magazine research!

I look at a few examples online, however most of the magazines i saw online, were also students taking the media course, here is a college magazine i found however that stood out for me:

 

This is a 2009 edition of college lifestyle magazine.

This is what i would like my magazine to be like, as it draws the reader in because of the colours, and various components and graphics on the page, as well as the friendly looking college student also on the page. I like the stories because they are about things that will interest the target reader (college student). The stories the page features are, "make money on campus" (students may be coming into debt due to being at this stage of their lives, making money would be good for them to overcome this, and make life in college/uni easier) "College couture" (This is a good story also, because many people are interested in fashion, as when you are this age, you want to look good as it a social time in your life) lastly there is "The ultimate spring break escape" (This stood out for me because it is not giving people information about college life, its giving them a sense of escapism)

I feel that the magazine looks very professional, and this is the way i would like mine to look!
