Music in the 50's and artists that inspire me

I have always had an interest in this era of history. I like the glamour, and the elegance of the girls, and also the smart image the men have.

MUSIC NOWADAYS

The music from this era is usually lively, energetic and fun, and this is what i want to get across when creating the rest of my magazine. I will feature articles about older artists in my magazine, but to bring it up to date, i think that it would be better if i look at artists who are similar nowadays, or have a similar look to this. Although there is not many artists that keep this look (Meaning they may just have this look for one or two videos), i am going to make one of my featured artists that i create have this look, and keep it.

Artists with a retro inspired look nowadays:

Here shows Beyonce in here why don't you love me video, i have shown the video also. Beyonce has this look in a few videos, including the lady gaga one i will show later.

Katy perry is someone who has this look throughout her music career, she is mostly dressed vintagey, but with her own twist on things.

 

 

 

Lana del rey has this look sometimes, the image above, is one of her modelling for H&M.

 

Paloma faith has always stayed strong to her vintage look.

Rihanna shows a vintage look in her we found love video!

All of these artists have shown a vintage look once in their career.

Stooshe is a modern band, which has a very vintage look. Especially in this video.

 

 

Analysis

I feel that vintage is very popular, and when most of these artists do their vintage looks, it can reflect on the public especially the music fans, as they begin to follow the trends that the artists set.
